
Tapi hiks...hiks...hiks...gosong dengan suksesnya....Luarnya gosong tapi dalamnya masih OK ngga gosong bisa dimakan dan menurutku masih enak kok, moist banget dalamnya.

Aku cuma bikin setengah resep, itupun sudah buanyak sekali buat kami berdua. Aku akan bagikan juga ke para instruktur olah ragaku, supaya mereka juga ngrasain jadi korban kegagalanku.
Kesalahanku adalah:
1. Suhu terlalu tinggi karena aku sesuai dengan resep. Tapi ovenku kan oven antik, usia sudah 25 tahun tapi oven ini selalu minta suhu lebih rendah daripada suhu di resep. Menurut resep sebelum dipanggang suhu oven dipasang 200 derajat, pemangganang dilakukan pada suhu 180 derajat selama 30 menit.
Dengan suhu tersebut, yang terjadi adalah gosong luar tapi dalam masih mentah berupa adonan cair. Harus dipanggang lagi selama 30 menit dengan suhu 160 derajat. Lain kali kalau bikin harus suhu lebih rendah tapi waktu manggang lebih lama.
Kesimpulan: kenalilah ovenmu atau nodong Leo minta belikan oven yang baru yang bagus. Iya to? Setujuuuuuuuuu???????
2. Aku pake olive oil. Rasa olive oilnya lebih dominan daripada pisangnya. Lain kali kalau mau bikin lagi, pake minyak goreng lainnya yang rasanya tidak dominan (seperti zonnebloemolie atau minyak dari bunga matahari).
Pisang yang diimport ke Belanda menurutku nggak seenak pisang produksi Indonesia. Leo sendiri juga kurang suka pisang yang kami beli di sini.
Kesimpulan: Kalau mau makan cake ini harus mudik dulu dan bertamu ke rumah Nining, siapa tahu disuguhi banana cake (yang berupa cup cake) dan tinggal ngemplok. he..he...he...Setuju??????
Karena sedang diet, maka aku iseng menghitung kalori cake ini berdasarkan tabel kalori disini. Ternyata....hiks...hiks....hiks.....guede banget. Kalau perhitunganku nggak meleset maka kalori untuk SEPARO RESEP adalah:
Total kalori cake keseluruhan: 3915,5 kcal
Kalau dipotong menjadi sepuluh: 391,55 kcal per potong
Kalau dipotong menjadi limabelas: 261,03 kcal per potong
Kalau dipotong menjadi duapuluh: 195,775 kcal per potong.
Padahal kecukupan orang dewasa laki-laki normal katanya 2500 kcal per hari (aku nggak tahu apakah ini kecukupan bule atau orang Indonesia). Jadi bisa dibayangin kan kalau makan 2 potong yang guede?
Akhirnya dengan bersimbah air mata (biar kata-katanya kelihatan dramatis gitu), aku cuma bisa menikmati sepotong cake dan harus stop. hiks...hiks...hiks...
Ayo...siapa yang mau jadi korbanku? Kalau mau harus ke sini....

For dieters, banana is good for snack in between meals or before going to the gym. For diabetics banana is a no no, unless when the person gets hypoglycaemic/low blood sugar, because banana has a very high sugar content.
ReplyDeleteBaking cake as cupcakes is much easier. It reduces the baking time (usually about 15-20 minutes only) with the same temperature.
Mbak Sri, this is just an advice between dieters :-).
Can you get Splenda or Low calories sugar in your grocery stores? When I make cake (the one I want to eat) usually I use that kind of sugar and eat it as breakfast, not as snack/dessert. If I want it for dessert, I would reduce the amount of carbohydrate in the main meal so can have cake for dessert. It's a pain with all the planning but usually keep my blood sugar stable (means my calorie intake is right).

Thank you for your advice. I will try to find low calory sugar. But by the way, what do you mean with low calory sugar? Do you mean sweetener? What I know is that we can find sweetener (relacement for sugar) here but I never find low calory sugar.
Fortunately I do not like eating sweet food. I don't drink coffee because I have a problem with my stomach. I drink two cups of thee per week at my mother's in law house. At home I almost never drink thee. So, I use 2 suiker klontjes per week (I don't know in English but a suiker klontje is sugar in the form of a cube).
If I eat cake, it means I don't eat other carbohydrate (rice, pasta, pizza, noodles, mihoen, soun etc). So, I really have to choose between eating cake or eating rice.
By the way, is ther any low calory flour? Do you use ordinary flour for making cake? Or do you use certain flour? Flour also contains high calory (I see from the table, 100 gram of flour = 300 kcal).
At home I can control myself but when I meet my friends....then I really have a problem because I cannot control myself to see so much Indonesian yummy food. As Leo always says: more than ONE Indonesian in the same place means "FOOD".
Fortunatly, public transportation is very expensive here, so that only once a while I can meet friends....in one way it is not good because I am feeling isolated but on the other way it is good for my food habit.....

ReplyDeleteBerapa kalori ya Mon, aku malah nggak ngitung. Yang jelas, aku berusaha membatasi tepung, nasi, roti, pasti, bakmi, mihoen dan sejenisnya. Lemak juga terbatas karena Leo nggak suka daging. Jadi pemakain daging per minggu 250 gram untuk kami berdua. Itupun daging yang nggak berlemak. Santen juga nggak makan karena Leo nggak suka makanan bersantan. Paling kalau kepingin banget baru masak sayur bersantan. Itupun kadang nunggu kalau ada kopdar. he...he...he...
Keju kami menggunakan keju rendah kalori, itupun nggak tiap hari makan keju....
Mungkin suatu kali aku harus itung kali ya berapa kalori yang masuk di tubuhku....
Aku nggak minum kopi soalnya kalau minum kopi, asam lambung langsung bergolak...jadi kemarin cake aku makan pake air putih. hi...hi...hi...

ReplyDeleteLeo read an article from the internet (I think it is from international journal). It is mentioned that if you have normal amount of tyroid, it doesn't mean that you don't have a problem. There was a research involving some people having the same problems like me. They work very hard to loose weight (diet and excercise) but they still cannot loose weight. Their tyroid is normal. Then they were given a bit of tyroid....and the result is amazing.....they can loose weight. But my doctors (both huisarts (family doctor) and specialist) do not want to take a risk. Giving tyroid is very risky because it can cause hearth attack (if I am not mistaken). So, I have to live whith my low metabolism. What I can do is just keep moving...

You are right. Brown bread is the best. I like brown bread more than the white one. Do you know why? The Dutch white bread is too sweet for me. It is sweeter than the Indonesian white bread. This is the reason I prefer brown bread with sunflower seeds or sesam seeds or other seeds. Brown bread makes me full and I don't have to eat snack. The problem is that I don't like to eat the same food everyday otherwise I will be bored. Having brown bread two or three days per week is more than enough for me.
We also eat silverrijst (brown rice). This is because Leo doesn't like soft rice. He doesn't like Basmati or Jasmine rice. Sometimes I eat Basmati or Jasmine rice but most of the time I eat brown rice.
I am happy that we can share our experience. Maybe I will write my diet so that you can give me a comment how I can improve my diet.....

ReplyDeleteMemang betul, susah kalau tiap kali ngitung kalori. Tapi gimana lagi, aku harus tahu diri. Usia sudah makin tua (beginilah kalau sebentar lagi setengah abad, jadi harus pinter-pinter jaga diri), metabolisme tubuh rendah. Ya......mau nggak mau makan harus selektif. Kecuali kalau kopdaran tuh....susah mau dietnya.....tapi kebetulan jarang kopdar....

ReplyDeleteKalau cake kayak gini lebih banyak terigu ya tapi irit telur. Terigu yo gede jé kalorinya: 300 kcal per 100 gram nya. Kalau mikir kalori bisa-bisa nggak makan apa-apa ya.....

Aku ngga tahu apakah ovenku itu hetelucht atau karena sudah tua jadi cepet gosong. Mau beli oven baru masih belum merupakan prioritas soalnya baru aja pasang laminaat, mahal juga euy walaupun sudah cari harga laminaat yang murah dan pasang sendiri.
ReplyDeleteAku bikin cake biasanya untuk aku jual. Kalau aku untuk dimakan sendiri biasanya aku makan sepotong kemudian sisanya dibagi ke teman-teman Leo di kantor atau aku bawa ke gym dan aku kasih ke para pelatih olah ragaku. Maklum diantara mereka banyak yang kurus kering...he...he...he...
Kalau masak sendiri biasanya aku berusaha ngepas supaya bisa habis saat itu juga. Kadang agak banyak, biasanya dimakan untuk 2 hari. Kalau di rumah aku malah bisa mengontrol diri dalam hal makanan. Kalau di luar ketemu teman-teman baru deh susah. Habisnya kan tiap orang bawa makanan.
MBa, jangan kuatir... yang gosong tandanya mateng dan gak perlu kecewa...

ReplyDeleteThat was really burnt.....echt waar....the temperature was too high. My oven is very old: 25 year old. Maybe this is the reason....(or maybe I am just hopeless in baking a cake. So, I blame the oven. ha...ha...ha...).

It doesn't look burned. Maybe a bit on the edges, but it looks ok to me. I think you're quite right to blame the oven... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't even have a real oven any more, because I hardly bake anything. I have a microwave which also has the function of an oven, so if I would really, really want to, I could bake a cake. But hey, they're also selling cakes, so why bother? Hahaha!
I also have a microwave which can also be used as an oven. But sometimes it doesn't work as I want. Maybe I still have no idea how to operate it.

I sometimes don't understand about the degrees to put the microwave on. In some recipes you have to put a heteluchtoven on so many degrees and a electric oven on so many degrees. Did you ever notice? I don't know the difference between heteluchtoven and electric oven.... An electric oven also has hot air...
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I also have no idea how this oven works. You can also combine microwave with oven. Maybe one day I really have to read the manual. What is the brand of your microwave? Is it also Sharp? We got some manuals from the factory. But unfortunately most of them are not in English. Most of them are written in German, Dutch and French and even Italian. So, if I have to read the Dutch part, I am afraid I have to use woordenboek to understand....

I was also surprised. I thought manuals are always in English and then followed by other languanges. Or at least in your local language (for example if you buy it here, the manual is in Dutch) then followed by at least English. But this case is different. Or maybe since Dutch speaks not only English but also German, we got the manual not in English, but in German.
